Like a Child

When you make a promise to a child, such child begins to dream of such a promise and lives for nothing but the day it will come to fulfilment. Even without seeing the manifestation of the promise, the child holds on to something: your voice, your concern, your love; in hope that you will fulfil them.

How about God who has made immense promises to us and laid down so much blessings for us to tap from?

How excited are you regarding his covenants for your life? Like a child, do you wait, dream and long for the reality of that promise? It is okay to feel scared. In fact, it is often expected to be worried about why God’s promises for your life are being delayed or haven’t come to realization yet. But you shouldn’t worry or be scared. Know that God is on your side. “He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Family, friends, associates might desert you when you are at your lowest and when they don’t see the promises of God coming to reality in your life quickly as they expect. You don’t owe them an explanation for your waiting process. You just have to wait, holding on to God, knowing that He is concerned about His promise about you and will never allow them not to come to fulfilment.  “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (Habakkuk 2:3)

Wait!

Wait on God, beautiful one. God’s promises will never fail. In Isaiah 40:31, we are reminded of the promise of renewal, “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Confession:

I declare that everything is working for my good because God has called me, because He created me for His will and has called me to be His own. I declare that God’s promises take form in my life, and everyone who encounters me will know truly that He is God and His words never fail. I am a light. I am a treasure. I will let my praises rise every day and stand in the love of what Jesus has done for us on the cross. Amen.
